About the Rap
Many x-ray operators are stunned at how easy the trade looks but, in actuality, it can be a challenge.
This is an hour-long remote session that includes topics like: Setting techniques (kVp and mAs/kVp and pulses), positioning the patient, adjusting image contrast and brightness, acquiring quality imaging, equipment operation, patient care, patient instruction, radiation concerns...etc..
It can be daunting.
The Radiology Coach is here to bring you at ease, addressing issues that you regularly encounter or unusual problems.
Additional concerns such as patient safety, patient protection, and state rules are topics that can be enigmatic and confusing.
We are open to all questions so we can simplify your experience as an operator.
Improving Your Skills
Don't beat yourself up! We regularly encounter folks who take x-rays that get very frustrated with the demands of their managers or doctors to perform quality x-rays.
Producing quality x-rays is dependent on a number criteria:

- Patient cooperation
- Machine operation
- Digital software mastery
- Adequate anatomical positioning
- Understanding of radiographic interpretations
- Symptoms vs ordered x-rays
